The heart of the untamed Dolomites

We can't wait to welcome you at Rifugio Scarpa, in the heart of the Dolomites, UNESCO world heritage. You can easily reach the Rifugio with a pleasant and panoramic walk and once there enjoy one of the most stunning views on the Moiazza, the San Sebastiano group, the Agner mount and Croda Granda (Pale di San Martino). The quiet of a place far from the most touristy hiking routes makes the Rifugio Scarpa the ideal place to relax and unwind. Perhaps this is exactly what the Venetian painter Ernico Scarpa was looking for when he first settled here his art atelier. Today this has become a welcoming refuge, a strategic starting point for climbing and alpinistic routes, a tak-off spot for paragliding, a starting point for the Ferrata Stella Alpina, an arrival and refreshment point after pleasant walks, bike rides and for runners. A place where you can simply unplug, let yourself be pampered with a slice of homemade cake and the warmth of the fireplce.
