ITINERARY DESCRIPTION

Departure from the center of Frassenè (park near the church). Passing along path 771, (which starts behind the departure point of the old chairlift) first on asphalt and then on a gravel road you arrive at the SCARPA Agner refuge in approximately 1.30/1.40 hours. In the locality of Rafadora (1470 m) you can follow the road to your destination, otherwise you can follow the trail tracks that reach the refuge more steeply via the old ski slope.

The name “Naturalistic” is not synonymous with banal; the route requires a steady foot due to the impervious surface and in some places involves climbing rocky sections that require the use of the hands. It also crosses a couple of canals that descend from Agner and which are often frozen at the beginning of the season and may require the use of crampons. The commitment will be rewarded by an uncontaminated environment and the presence of numerous and rare blooms. One for all is the eye-catching Scarpetta della Madonna.

After the descent on steep meadows you cross an area of pastures and sparse woods and with a modest climb you return to the Scarpa Refuge. From there in about 1 hour and a half you go down to the car park in the town of Frassenè.
